Provisioning Services
Provisioning Services consist of installation, implementation, configuration and/or verification activities for the enabling of an ICT product or service within the customer’s organization
These services, provided in combination with other solutions, offer timely and accurate completion of a specific installation and configuration project. Generally the provision of these services is associated with the deployment of a specific hardware and/or software platform, such as the installation and
configuration of a physical server (blade or standalone) as a node of a VMware cluster, or of a device storage rather than network segmentation software, such as VMware NSX.

These services, provided in combination with other solutions, offer timely and accurate completion of a specific installation and configuration project. Generally the provision of these services is associated with the deployment of a specific hardware and/or software platform, such as the installation and configuration of a physical server (blade or standalone) as a node of a VMware cluster, or of a device storage rather than network segmentation software, such as VMware NSX.
In close collaboration with the Customer’s resources, the Service & Operations team carries out the following activities:
- Examines and acquires the technical requirements of the platform or hardware/software technology
- Conducts deployment planning to review pre-planning technical requirements and create provisioning plan
- Verifies customer IT infrastructure compliance for all required hardware and software requirements
- Examines and advises on customer implementation/cut-over plans
- Performs hardware installation, including rack mount, labeling, wiring, power on, and possible management IP address configuration
- For hardware devices, validates that the current version of the supported driver and firmware is the latest or install updates as needed
- For software installations, verifies that the version is updated or in line with the version requested by the Customer and installs any patches or updates
- Performs system and software configuration tasks, including security updates
- Performs testing, validation, testing and production tasks
- Leads a transfer of basic knowledge through training on the job
